Splash of the Week

Source. Filter. Play.

Happy Bergfest. Happy New Year of the Fire Horse. Happy Aschermittwoch. Half term. Belated Valentine’s.

It is only KW 08. But my calendar has felt too loud the last couple of weeks. Some reflections:

#1 CUT THE NOISE

I usually say “I focus on just cutting the noise, otherwise I won’t be able to do it”  and people now remind me of it. We are surrounded by inputs. Open tabs. Endless notifications and opinions. Even workspaces designed for transparency can become noise, as the nervous system cannot distinguish between useful information and ambient distraction, for which it constantly needs to compensate.

We are exhausted because of the constant background noise, not the tasks in front of us. Two things I have been reading on this:

Most people think discipline is about adding structure. I’d say, it is about removing noise. We are constantly diluting our own signal, and our rhythm disappears.

#2 REPEAT YOUR RITUALS

One of my highlights last week was hearing that one of you repeated the Rauhnächte rituals for the second year and became the guide in your own family. Someone asked you: “I skipped days burning my wishes. What now?” And you paused asking yourself: “What would Claudia say?” You responded: “This is a framework. It is about finding rituals that work for you not sticking to the guide.”

That is exactly it and that’s why I am doing this. I am not about checklists to force my protocols on you.

Ritual is not about precision. It is about repetition. And repitition creates flow. Anyone who had piano or dance classes might instantly remember the feeling. You repeat a sequence three to five times, and then it clicks. It starts flowing by itself.

When repeated, it becomes signal.
When shared, it becomes culture.

#3 SOURCE. FILTER. PLAY.

Our work follows a simple logic:

Source.
Filter.
Play.

Most people intervene too late. You add products, protocols, habits downstream. Water intelligent living starts earlier.

SOURCE.

Go Upstream

Most attempts at change begin at behaviour. Drink more. Do better. Try harder. Source begins before behaviour. With your mindset.

Where does your water come from?
Where does your thinking come from?
What ideas do you hold about yourself and the world?

This is upstream work. Understanding the environment you are immersed in: biologically and mentally. When the internal environment shifts, behaviour follows without force, without checklist, without other people pushing timed routines on you.

Source is recalibration. You say to me “I felt stuck and wasted my time”. I’d say: “To me, you were recalibrating. Now you are moving more in flow.”

FILTER.

Remove What Dilutes You.

If habits are noisy, the nervous system compensates. Filter work is subtraction. What are you ingesting, that increases load? In your glass and in your day. What creates unnecessary correction downstream? This is where you filter. Water. Air. Inputs. Routines.

And this is also why I support your searches for the best water filters. Safe water is essential. But safe does not automatically mean healthy.

Regulatory compliance protects against acute risk. It does not necessarily optimise for residual by-products, taste, or water with more life force.

Does a filter alone change the hydration game?
No.

A filter is not a miracle. It is one step.

It reduces unnecessary load so the body does less compensatory work. Better cellular hydration is cumulative:  source clarity, appropriate filtration, mineral context, rhythm, movement, joy.

Filtration is infrastructure. Hydration is lived experience.

Filtration only works when it follows source clarity.

 PLAY.

Reconnect with Rhythm

My favourite pillar. Hydration is not static. Cells respond to movement. Nervous systems regulate through joy. Play is where hydration becomes relational rather than transactional.

Swirling water at a tasting.
Walking and jumping (your lymphatic system as internal irrigation).
Breathing near water (the Blue Mind science).
Sound (Hello Gong Bath). Rhythm. Cold (Plunge). Warmth (Sauna).

From micro-rituals, water tastings, surf trips to one of our water wellness retreats, PLAY turns water from something you consume into something you engage with. Play restores signal.

This is the framework behind The Hydration Studio.

Most people ask me which filter to buy. Few ask how they relate to water (within their cells) in the first place.

We optimise what is visible, bottles, brands, routines, and rarely examine the infrastructure beneath it.

Hydration is not about finding perfect water.
It is about reducing unnecessary load and restoring rhythm. It is the quality of the environment you live in:  inside and out.
