Splash of the Week
Energy Over Time.
Happy Friday, dear friends!
Lately, my physical presence has been requested in ways that don’t align with my rhythm. It’s been a dilemma… one I’m still sorting out. But here’s what I know so far:
For most of us, life became an exercise in measuring minutes and squeezing more out of hours.
But what if the goal isn’t to get more done, but to feel more alive while doing it?
You can’t manage time.
You can only manage your flow.
And your energy decides how much you get from your time.
The Rhythm Beneath the Schedule
The body runs on rhythms older than any calendar.
Light touches the skin, cells wake; darkness falls, repair begins.
Sleep isn’t collapse, it’s return.
Morning light isn’t luxury, it’s information.
This is the architecture of energy:
sleep builds it, light organizes it, darkness restores it.
Movement as Circulation, Not Discipline
In a time-managed life, movement becomes a task.
In an energy-managed life, it becomes rhythm.
We’re not dehydrated because we don’t drink enough,
but because we spend our days still and indoors.
Hydration isn’t volume; it’s absorption.
And absorption needs movement. Stagnant water in the body = low energy.
The Shift
When you manage energy instead of time,
you start living in cycles, not checklists.
Effort and ease. Waking and rest. Giving and receiving.
You stop fighting your body and start listening.
Less management, more relationship.
Time management belongs to the clock.
Energy management belongs to the body.
The clock can be obeyed; the body must be listened to.
See you upstream,
Clouds
